Pūtea Rangahau – Tuku Haurehu a Ahuwhenua

The New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre coordinates and funds research into reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. Given the scale and unique operating environment of Māori agribusiness, the NZAGRC funds programmes that align with our Māori Research Strategy.

The vision of the Strategy is: A lower emissions, sustainable food system built on a deep relationship of respect and reciprocity with te Taiao and where the full diversity of Māori landowners, agribusinesses and their iwi, hapū and whanau can thrive.

Pūtea Rangahau – Tuku Haurehu a Ahuwhenua is our main investment mechanism in this area. Pokapū Waro, the Māori research strategy team of the NZAGRC is the rōpu kaiwhakahaere for Pūtea Rangahau. Pokapū Waro is supported by Toihau an independent group of experts in Māori agribusiness and research that provide guidance to the NZAGRC.
